Tyketto have released a new video for their latest single, The Picture, and announced an expanded collector’s edition of their sixth studio album, Closer To The Sun (Deluxe).
The double-disc edition arrives on November 27th via Silver Lining Music, following the critically acclaimed release of Closer To The Sun earlier this year. Pre-orders are available here.

Aimed squarely at the fans who have followed the band every step of the way, the Deluxe edition pairs the complete original album with a second disc of bonus material, making it much more than a straight reissue.
That second disc gathers radio edits of three singles and a handful of live recordings captured on the road, including two songs from Tyketto’s set at Stonedead Festival 2025. It closes with a piano version of The Picture, which until now has only been available in Japan.
The radio edits cover Higher Than High, We Rise and The Brave, while the live material features The Run and End Of The Summer Days from Stonedead, Burning Down Inside recorded in Newcastle, and Reach captured live in the UK.
Taken together, the package is designed for the band’s mega fans, super collectors and proud musical anoraks, giving them a fuller picture of the Closer To The Sun era both in the studio and on stage.
The Picture is a song that very nearly never saw the light of day. Frontman and founding member Danny Vaughn rediscovered it by chance while digging through old files as he prepared to write the new album.
“I’ve been really humbled by the amount of people that have told me how much this song has affected them. Especially considering that the song almost didn’t happen,” says Vaughn.
“When I was preparing to start writing new ideas for what would become the ‘Closer To The Sun’ album I was going through a number of older files and found ‘The Picture’ by sheer luck on a demo I had made several years ago with two great players from the Boston area.”
As for why it had never been released before, Vaughn reckons the timing simply wasn’t right until now. “The time is right now, going by the overwhelming reaction we have received from fans all over the world,” he says. “So now I’m extremely proud to release this song as a single alongside a great video that really captures its spirit.”
He also places the track firmly alongside one of Tyketto’s best-loved songs: “To me, ‘The Picture’ is the natural successor to ‘Standing Alone’.”
Fans who haven’t yet caught up with the parent album can listen to Closer To The Sun here.
The release news comes with Tyketto already out on the road. The band kicked off their Rock ‘n’ Roll Salvation Tour with CoreLeoni on October 4th, and the run promises the full Tyketto experience of big songs and big performances.

Demand is clearly high, with the Belfast show already sold out. Vaughn’s message to fans is a simple one: “Thank you for keeping us going and growing!! See you out there on the road.”
The current Tyketto line-up sees Vaughn on lead and backing vocals, guitars, harmonica, keyboards and percussion, joined by Harry Scott Elliott on lead and rhythm guitars and Ged Rylands on keyboards.
Completing the band are Chris Childs of Thunder on bass and Johnny Dee of Doro on drums, with all five members contributing backing vocals and percussion. Together they have built Tyketto a reputation as one of rock’s most enduring live acts.
