The new album has already received rave reviews across the board. R’N’R Magazine awarded it four stars, declaring: “These days, Joanne Shaw Taylor has nothing left to prove… she is a major blues rock figure.” Blues Matters summed it up as “blues rock with heart, muscle and plenty of scars.”
Fireworks called it “another extremely strong effort from the guitarist which will not only please existing fans, but it also has all the tools to win her a whole bunch of new ones, too,” while Blues in Britain hailed “an enjoyably strong album and a return to form for this fine artist.”
The praise has travelled well beyond the UK, too. Italy’s Buscadero Magazine noted that Joanne Shaw Taylor “has established herself as one of the most authoritative voices and guitarists in contemporary blues-rock.”
Alongside songs from The Trouble With Love, Joanne will also perform songs from her rich album back catalogue, including Black & Gold, Heavy Soul, Nobody’s Fool and The Blues Album, which topped Billboard’s Official Blues Album Chart.

The Blues Album was also voted #1 Most Played Blues Album of 2021 by the Independent Blues Broadcasters’ Association. Fans can also expect select songs from her older albums Reckless Heart, Wild, The Dirty Truth, Almost Always Never, Diamonds in the Dirt and White Sugar.
Joanne’s story started early. She was discovered by Eurythmics’ Dave Stewart as a mere 16-year-old and subsequently invited to tour the world, and her rise to stardom, propelled by endorsements from music giants like Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox, remains unmatched.
Classic Rock, awarding her an 8/10, observed that Joanne Shaw Taylor “has done anything but play it safe,” staying true to her love of the blues across 10 previous solo albums and countless road miles that have positioned her at the forefront of the genre over the past five years.
