Last night, Angine de Poitrine made their U.S. television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The band premiered a brand new, unreleased song, “Zugzegk,” on the Studio 6B stage, playing with their signature mix of precision and wild abandon.

The appearance lands right in the middle of Angine de Poitrine’s completely sold-out first ever U.S. tour.
Upcoming highlights include Washington, DC’s The Atlantis on 15th September and Lincoln Theatre on 17th September, Brooklyn’s Brooklyn Bowl from 16th-18th November, Chicago’s The Salt Shed on 29th-30th November, and Minneapolis’ First Avenue on 1st-2nd December.
The run continues into Los Angeles’ The Wiltern on 4th-5th December, Portland’s McMenamins Crystal Ballroom on 10th-11th December, and Seattle’s Showbox SoDo on 12th December and Paramount Theatre on 13th December.

It’s just one leg of an epic 2026 international schedule for Angine de Poitrine, which also takes in sold-out headline shows and festival slots across Canada, Japan, Europe and the UK.
It has been a landmark year all round. The duo’s second full-length album, Vol. II, is out now everywhere.
June’s physical release of Vol. I and Vol. II saw the band debut at No. 1 on nine Billboard charts, including No. 3 on Top Album Sales, No. 2 on Vinyl Albums and No. 2 on Indie Store Album Sales.
Vol. II pushes Angine de Poitrine’s brisk, high-voltage sound into bolder, more dynamic territory, built as ever on three pillars: acid techno, disco and rock.

Fan favourite “Fabienk” is a good example. It’s built from a single microtonal guitar loop that repeats, doubles and evolves into a groove that’s both insistent and liberating.
That mix of precision and chaos has become the band’s calling card live. The New York Times called it “a feat of live unity and dexterity, hand-played with zero margin for error,” adding that it amounts to “a contagious manic energy.”
The Guardian gave Vol. II five stars, praising a “weirdly hypnotic, berserk hybrid of math rock, prog rock, punk, jerkily repetitive rhythms, microtonal loops and twiddly guitar bits” – and concluding that, in dark times, Angine de Poitrine are “simply ridiculously good fun.”

Hailed by The Guardian for “hypnotic riffs and grooves, whose proggy time shifts are all in astonishing lockstep,” the Mantra-Rock Dada Pythagorean-Cubist Orchestra known as Angine de Poitrine gaze in wonder at hot dogs, pyramids and rock music in all its glorious excess.
In just two years, Khn de Poitrine (microtonal guitars, vocals) and Klek de Poitrine (percussion, vocals) have surpassed the earthly rock stars they once emulated.
Guitar World called Khn de Poitrine “the greatest polka-dot guitar hero since Randy Rhoads and Buddy Guy,” praising his “fluid microchromatic runs, tapping bursts and head-spinning riffs.”

Structured around a constant interplay of adding and removing sound patterns, Angine de Poitrine’s repertoire makes hearts race and bodies move with ecstatic abandon.
The band’s Live on KEXP session has amassed over 19 million views and counting, part of a two-year storm of critical and audience enthusiasm that shows no sign of slowing.
That energy carries straight through to the live shows. Exclaim! described the experience as close to “being initiated into a cult, a room full of people worshipping at the altar of polka dots.”

Since Vol. II arrived in April 2026, Angine de Poitrine have toured almost non-stop, selling out venues worldwide within minutes – often months in advance.
Highlights so far include a one-night-only support slot for Jack White at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre, and a free headline show at the Montreal International Jazz Festival that drew a record turnout of more than 80,000 fans.
