First Aid Kit are heading back to the UK and Ireland in 2027. The Swedish duo have announced their ‘Visions of the Past’ UK and Ireland Tour, a nine-date run taking place in January, with tickets available from Friday 9th October 2026.

Sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg open the tour at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre on 18th January, before heading to Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Manchester, Wolverhampton, Cardiff and Brighton. The run closes at the Eventim Apollo in London on 28th January.

The tour takes its name from a line in live favourite ‘Ghost Town’, from the duo’s 2010 debut album ‘The Big Black and the Blue’. It is a career-spanning show that First Aid Kit have already toured in Scandinavia, and they will bring it to sold-out theatres across Europe this winter.

Fans can expect a true catalogue effort, taking in the hits, deeper cuts, covers and teasing new material. Ever a family affair, the shows will also see the sisters’ younger brother Isak Benjamin supporting at every date.

“We’re so very happy to announce that we’re bringing our ‘Visions of the Past’ tour to the UK and Ireland in January!” said First Aid Kit. “These will be stripped-back intimate shows where we’ll go through our back catalogue, from our very first EP in 2008 to brand new songs that no one has heard yet!

“Our dear brother Isak Benjamin will be opening for us, so it’ll truly be a family affair. Let us know if there are any rare old songs of ours or covers you’d love to hear us play. We can’t wait to see you all!”

That open invitation to fans means the setlists could hold a few genuine surprises. With songs stretching back to their first EP in 2008, the duo have plenty of material to choose from, and the shows promise something for longtime followers and newer listeners alike.

The announcement comes fresh from two sold-out shows at London’s iconic Royal Albert Hall, where the duo were joined by the 65-piece Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Erik Arvinder.

Across those two very special evenings, First Aid Kit performed their breakthrough album ‘Stay Gold’ in full for the first half of the show, followed by a selection of old and new favourites. The new tour builds on those performances, celebrating the much-loved catalogue that has defined their career to date.

Following ‘The Big Black and the Blue’ in 2010 and ‘The Lion’s Roar’ in 2012, the group reached critical mass with 2014’s ‘Stay Gold’. Its lead single ‘My Silver Lining’ gathered hundreds of millions of streams and picked up a gold certification in the UK.

In 2018, ‘Ruins’ went gold in Sweden and earned four-star reviews from The Guardian, Q and NME. In its wake, First Aid Kit scored their second BRIT Awards nomination, in the International Group category.

Over the years the sisters have collaborated with everyone from PINK, Jenny Lewis and Conor Oberst to George Ezra and Zara Larsson. Their fifth album, ‘Palomino’, arrived in 2022 to critical and commercial acclaim and saw the band embark on the biggest tour of their career.

With rarities, fan requests and unheard songs all promised, the ‘Visions of the Past’ tour offers a fresh look back across First Aid Kit’s journey so far, along with a glimpse of what comes next.
