Rush co-founders Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson have announced Elevate From The Norm, a five-date residency at Sphere in Las Vegas on May 21, 23, 26, 28 and 30, 2027, celebrating the band’s catalogue and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.

Each night is planned around fan favourites and greatest hits drawn from across Rush’s career. Lee and Lifeson will again be joined by German drummer, composer and producer Anika Nilles and keyboardist Loren Gold – the same touring lineup currently carrying the Fifty Something tour.

Lee framed the Sphere booking as a long-held design idea that the band can finally act on. “When I first heard of Sphere, I thought to myself, ‘wow, what a shame that RUSH is no longer touring, because this venue sounds tailor made for the kind of visual attitude with which we have always designed our shows.”

“Normally we spend months designing the visual effects for our shows and this scenario seemed like the cherry on top of the ice cream for our design team. But life is nothing if not surprising and now, here we are, living and touring in the present tense and we are able to make that particular dream come true.”

He said the group is expanding touring concepts for the room and aiming for a show shape familiar from recent one-off cities: full performances of 2112 and Moving Pictures alongside other songs. “We are so effin’ excited to make use of this incredible opportunity to please our fans both visually and viscerally – from wherever they might fly in from. Gonna be so much fun!!”

Sphere’s LED wrap and Sphere Immersive Sound system are central to the pitch. The venue markets the highest-resolution LED display wrapping up, over and around the audience, plus a concert-grade immersive audio system designed to deliver clarity across the room – a fit for a band that has long treated lighting and production as part of the composition.

The Sphere run sits on top of the ongoing Fifty Something tour, which the band says has sold more than one million tickets across Canada, the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe and the UK. Press coverage of those dates has focused on the balance between honouring Peart and keeping the show joyful, with Nilles drawing particular attention behind the kit.

Remaining Fifty Something dates are listed at rush.com/tour/fifty-something.

Rush – Lee, Lifeson and Peart – sold more than 45 million albums worldwide, earned seven GRAMMY Award nominations and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the Canadian Music Hall of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. Peart died on January 7, 2020 after a battle with brain cancer.

Lee and Lifeson’s return to the road in 2026, and now this 2027 Sphere residency, continues that catalog in a live setting built around memory, musicianship and a room designed for spectacle.

Elevate From The Norm lands at Sphere across five nights in May 2027. Presale windows open from November 6 (VIP/Travel for subscribers) and November 11 (artist ticket presale). Official information is at rush.com/sphere.
