It also sets the stage for a fully loaded Deluxe Edition of Last Night On Earth, which arrives on 6 November. The expanded album is available to pre-order now.

Alongside the release, the Canadian rock band have launched a global search for the perfect duet partner on the track. Fans and artists are invited to add their own vocals or remix the instrumental, then share their versions on social media using the hashtag #F11LastNightDuet.

“We have always loved the idea of turning ‘Last Night on Earth’ into a duet,” says singer Scott Anderson. “Putting the #F11LastNightDuet idea out to the artist community and leaving the creative boundaries open is key.”

“We hope artists will bring their own style and emotion – whether by adding lyrics, adjusting the arrangement, or working within the existing framework,” he adds. “I’m excited to hear the different interpretations. I have no idea what to expect, and that’s exactly what I love about it.”

The Deluxe Edition expands the original ten-track album to 18 tracks. As well as the hits “Adrenaline” and “The Mountain”, it adds a version of “Blue Sky Mystery” featuring Filter, “Bones and Joints II”, a live recording of “Living In A Dream” and acoustic live takes of “First Time” and “One Thing” recorded at B Town Sound.

After looking back on their legacy with a Greatest Hits collection, Finger Eleven opened a new chapter with Last Night On Earth. The album has already produced two No.1 rock hits in “Adrenaline” and “The Mountain”, and the new maxi-single and Deluxe Edition give its title track the spotlight it deserves.
