Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legends, Foreigner have announced their forthcoming album, In the Eye of the Storm, set for release on July 17 via Sun Records/Virgin Records.
The album serves as the official soundtrack to the band’s landmark 50th anniversary concert film, captured at the iconic Ellis Island and Brooklyn’s DUMBO House.

To mark the announcement, Foreigner will release the first single from the album, “Feels Like The First Time,” on April 17. An accompanying video will debut the same day, featuring exclusive footage from the forthcoming concert film. The track is available to pre-save now at https://greenhill.lnk.to/feelslike.
Three Generations, One Track
The new recording of “Feels Like The First Time” is something of a landmark in itself. It brings together three generations of Foreigner vocalists – original frontman Lou Gramm, twenty-year veteran Kelly Hansen, and current lead singer Luis Maldonado.
The result is a track that traces the evolution of Foreigner’s sound across five decades. Each voice carries its own chapter of the band’s history, and together they make for a genuinely compelling listen.

A Concert That Almost Didn’t Happen
The Ellis Island performance that forms the centrepiece of the forthcoming film was far from straightforward to pull off. As the band prepared to take the stage, torrential rain, thunder and lightning rolled across New York Harbor. For a time, it looked as though the entire production would be shut down by the weather.
Foreigner pushed through. What could have been a force-majeure disaster became, by all accounts, one of the most electrifying moments of their fifty-year career.
The film, produced by Vertigo Live Productions, is set to arrive in cinemas worldwide in Summer 2026.

A New Musical Debuts the Same Night
April 17 is shaping up to be quite a day for Foreigner fans. That same evening marks the opening night of Feels Like The First Time – The Foreigner Musical, directed by Tony-nominated Adam Pascal.
The production premieres at the Little Theater on Long Island University’s Post Campus and runs through April 26, 2026, with 11 performances in total. Tickets are on sale now.
Fifty Years of Hits
Foreigner have sold over 80 million albums worldwide over the course of their career. The band’s catalogue includes some of the most recognisable rock songs ever recorded – “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Urgent,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Head Games,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” and the global number one “I Want To Know What Love Is,” which is now a member of Spotify’s exclusive Billions Club.

Billboard’s “Greatest of All Time” listings place Foreigner firmly among rock’s elite. At their peak, the band’s weekly catalogue sales have eclipsed those of Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, the Rolling Stones, the Who, and most of their classic rock peers.
Audio and video streams of Foreigner’s hits are currently approaching 20 million per week.
Pre-Orders and Merchandise
The album opens for pre-order on June 12, 2026. To coincide with the single release, Foreigner will also launch a series of limited-edition anniversary merchandise collections, celebrating fifty years of one of rock’s most iconic catalogues.
