Finnish rock heavyweights, The Rasmus have announced a sweeping 23-date headline tour across Europe and the United Kingdom, set to run from January through March 2027. The band will be joined by Skarlett Riot as special guest on all UK dates.

The announcement follows what the band describe as an extremely successful 2025 and a packed 2026 schedule, continuing their relentless commitment to bringing their music to audiences around the world.

Six-times Platinum and eight-times Gold certified, The Rasmus have spent decades building a global live reputation – and this tour looks set to add another significant chapter to it.

The 2027 run will see The Rasmus perform across 13 countries, stopping at headline venues in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Hungary, Italy, Switzerland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and across multiple English cities.

The UK leg alone spans eight dates, taking in Norwich, Oxford, Leeds, Newcastle, Wolverhampton, Bristol, Exeter, and Brighton.

Frontman Lauri Ylönen is clearly energised by the prospect. “We can’t wait to see all our dear friends who we missed the last time we toured Europe,” he said.

The singer has spoken warmly about the reception the band’s latest material has received on the road, and the 2027 dates will give even more fans across the continent the chance to experience the new record live.

The tour will draw heavily from Weirdo, the band’s most recent album, which is out now. The record has struck a genuine chord with The Rasmus faithful. “The Weirdo album has resonated deeply in our fanbase,” Ylönen explained. “It’s about being accepted the way you are. This has also been visible at the live shows as the fans have been dressed up to show their inner weirdos. It’s been a very fun and uniting feeling.”

Alongside fresh material, audiences can expect the kind of setlist depth that only a band with The Rasmus’s catalogue can deliver – classic anthems and deeper cuts woven in alongside the newer tracks.

The announcement comes at a busy moment for the band. The Rasmus are currently on tour in the United States, before returning to Europe to join the summer festival circuit. Confirmed slots include Nova Rock in Austria, Resurrection Fest in Spain, and Masters Of Rock in the Czech Republic.

Later in 2026, the band head to South America for a full tour across 11 cities, including Bogotá, Panama City, Lima, Santiago, São Paulo, and Buenos Aires.

Between now and 2027, there’s no shortage of The Rasmus on the road.

Last summer brought one of the most remarkable performances in the band’s career, when The Rasmus headlined the Atlas Festival in Ukraine – the only foreign artist to appear at the event. Over 110,000 people attended, with a full security and evacuation infrastructure in place throughout.

The festival passed without incident, and the event raised more than $2.5 million for Ukraine’s air defences. A short documentary capturing the experience is available to watch online.

The Rasmus also have a new single out now. “Break These Chains” features Niko Vilhelm of Finnish metallers Blind Channel, and it is one of the band’s most emotionally charged releases in recent memory. Built around The Rasmus’s signature blend of dark atmosphere and soaring melody, the track tackles the subject of toxic relationships head-on.

Ylönen wrote the song alongside acclaimed hit songwriters and producers Marti Frederiksen and Desmond Child – a pedigree that shows in the track’s tight, emotionally precise construction. “It’s about letting go of something that you know is bad for you, but you’re obsessed with,” Ylönen said of the collaboration.

The song features lyrics that cut straight to the bone of that experience, capturing the particular paralysis of a relationship you know is damaging but can’t walk away from.

The video for “Break These Chains,” directed by Aleksei Kulikov, is available now on The Rasmus’s official YouTube channel. The single is also available to stream and download across all major platforms.
