Angine De Poitrine Expand Their North American Live Run With New Headline Dates And First-Ever US City Performances

Angine de Poitrine by Constantin Monfilliette

Angine de Poitrine have announced a significant expansion to their upcoming North American live run, adding new headline dates driven by overwhelming popular demand – including first-ever performances in several US cities.

The acclaimed microtonal cardboard duo are also set for a global physical release of both their albums on vinyl and CD beginning Friday, June 12.

The newly announced dates are substantial. Highlights include shows at Denver’s Ogden Theatre on August 13, Washington DC’s Lincoln Theatre on September 17, and Toronto’s History on November 5.

Further new dates see Angine de Poitrine play a two-night stand at Brooklyn Steel on November 16 and 17, Atlanta’s The Masquerade on November 25, and Nashville’s Brooklyn Bowl on November 27.

The run continues into December with Minneapolis’ First Avenue on the 2nd, Los Angeles’ The Wiltern on the 4th, Oakland’s Fox Theater on the 8th, and Portland’s Crystal Ballroom on the 11th.

Presale signups are available now exclusively via Laylo. Fans who sign up will receive a unique code granting access to the official presale beginning Tuesday, May 19 at 10:00 am local time.

Local presales begin Thursday, May 21 at 10:00 am local time, with all presales closing that same evening at 10:00 pm local. General on-sales follow on Friday, May 22 at 10:00 am local time. Full details and ticket information can be found at anginedepoitrine.com/concerts.

These new additions join an already packed international schedule that includes sold-out headline dates across multiple continents, a string of high-profile festival appearances, and a one-night-only show supporting Jack White at Toronto’s RBC Amphitheatre on July 14.

The festival itinerary alone makes for extraordinary reading. Angine de Poitrine are booked for Brighton’s The Great Escape, the Festival International de Jazz de Montréal, Winnipeg Folk Festival, Phillips Backyard Music Festival in Victoria BC, and Ottawa Bluesfest.

International festival appearances continue with Japan’s Fuji Rock Festival in Niigata, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard’s Field of Vision II in Buena Vista, California, Lisbon’s Meo Kalorama, End of the Road in Dorset, Manchester Psych Fest, and Edinburgh Psych Fest.

Rounding out the festival calendar are Otis Mountain Get Down in Elizabethtown NY, Austin’s Levitation, Richmond’s Iron Blossom Festival, and Amsterdam’s London Calling.

The wider headline tour is equally relentless. The European stretch this autumn takes in sold-out nights in Bristol, Glasgow, Dublin, Leeds, London, Paris, Lyon, Antwerp, Berlin, Hamburg, Heidelberg, and Amsterdam.

Earlier in the run, Angine de Poitrine play sold-out dates across France and Belgium in May, followed by Canadian shows through June and July, before the North American headline run picks up in August and carries through to December.

The band’s live momentum has been building at remarkable speed. Their Live on KEXP session has amassed over 13 million views, and critical acclaim has arrived from some of the biggest outlets in music journalism.

The New York Times called their live show “music of precision, agility, and stamina, adding up to a contagious manic energy.” Pitchfork described Angine de Poitrine as “a beacon that North America is once again ready for art-fucky noise rock bands.”

The Guardian praised “an ecstatic show that balances supremely complex musicianship with ridiculous good fun,” while The Telegraph called it “live music at its most human” and The London Evening Standard declared them “a party band from another planet.”

Those superlatives make more sense once you understand what Angine de Poitrine actually are. The duo consists of Khn de Poitrine on microtonal guitars and vocals, and Klek de Poitrine on percussion and vocals.

The Guardian has described their music as “hypnotic riffs and grooves, whose proggy time shifts are all in astonishing lockstep, making this as much party music as it is prog.”

Their approach is built around a dynamic interplay of adding and removing sound patterns in a constant state of metamorphosis – tight, pulsing drum grooves intertwined with intricate tangles of double-necked microtonal guitar, drawing on acid techno, disco, and rock in equal measure.

Angine de Poitrine operate as an anonymous artistic project. Any speculation regarding the identities of its members is unverified and not endorsed by the band.

Their debut album Vol. I arrived in 2024 to widespread acclaim. Vol. II followed in April 2026, described as a brisk, high-voltage record that stretches the duo’s approach with bolder, more dynamic structures.

Standout track “Fabienk” has become a fan favourite, revolving around a single microtonal guitar loop that repeats, doubles, and evolves through a groove that is both insistent and liberating. Vol. II received enthusiastic coverage from The New York Times, Pitchfork, The Guardian, Paste, and more.

Both albums have until now been available digitally only. That changes on June 12, when Vol. I and Vol. II arrive in physical format – vinyl and CD – in record stores worldwide, thanks to a series of groundbreaking global distribution agreements that preserve the duo’s independence.

Pre-orders are available now.

In just two years, Angine de Poitrine have built a fanbase that spans continents and surpassed the rock stars they once emulated. With dozens of live dates still ahead, two albums finally hitting physical release, and new cities experiencing them for the first time, 2026 is shaping up to be their most significant year yet.
